Dear Church Family,

This Lord’s Day (5/19) will be a special day in the life of our church. Not only will we be taking the Lord’s Supper together, but will be worshipping with our sister church, Casa de Restauración. This marks twelve years since this work began and it is our joy to get to celebrate what the Lord is doing together. We will have songs and Scripture readings both in English and Spanish. Pastor Carlos will be preaching on Matthew 22:36-40. Following the service, we will move to the Family Life Center to enjoy a fellowship meal together. Please bring a dish or dessert to share. Due to the added activities, we will not have service in the evening. Let me encourage you to pray for our time together and especially for pastor Carlos as he prepares to preach in two languages.

On the last Wednesday of May (5/29), we will meet at Barber Park for a picnic at 5:00 p.m. Please coordinate with Christy about what to bring. This is a great opportunity to invite people to join us. For those of you who have adopted families, I would encourage you to invite them personally. We are requiring minors who come to be accompanied by an adult, but we will still pick them up on the vans if needed. Please pray for opportunities to get to know non-members and boldness to share the Gospel with them.

On the first Wednesday of June (6/5), we will not have evening services due to the Spanish-speaking VBS being during our regular meeting time. Casa de Restauración will be using the auditorium and the Family Life Center. Please pray for their students, their workers, and the families of those involved. Ask the Lord to bless their efforts and to use the teaching of His Word to save and strengthen people.

Finally, our church has voted to move our regular Sunday evening service time from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is the only service time that has been changed. June 2nd will be the first Sunday we will meet at the new time. Please makes plans to be with us and pray about using Sunday evenings after church for intentional fellowship with other church members. This would be a great time to reflect on the Lord’s Day together and to talk about what God is teaching you personally. Thank you for your willingness to adjust. May the Lord bless you.
